Civil Marriage Services Information

A civil marriage ceremony can be performed by the Town’s Marriage Commissioner in the Council Chambers at the Town Hall. This ceremony may also be performed at other mutually agreed upon locations, dates, and times.

The Council Chambers has been reserved Friday afternoons, between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. for Civil Marriage Ceremonies.  Other dates, times and locations may be accommodated dependent upon the availability of the Marriage Commissioner and provided that sufficient notice is given.

The fee for the civil ceremony is $300 plus applicable taxes, and payment must be received prior to the service taking place.

Due to the civil nature of this service, interested parties must be aware that there cannot be any religious connotation to the service whatsoever.

If you are interested in having your marriage ceremony at the Town Hall, you will be required to meet with the Marriage Commissioner at least one week prior to the ceremony at which time the guidelines will be reviewed and the actual service agreed upon.
